Born in Zagreb in 1951 in a "film" family, so he was relatively early involved in professional film production as a filmmaker's assistant. Among others, he worked for four years with Frano Vodopiv, and with Octavian Miletić collaborated on his last film "Talijin trag" in 1978 as assistant camera. In 1983 he graduated from the Department of Film Recording of the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art.
