Milorad Milatović was born in 1996 in Nikšić, Montenegro. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, majoring in Film and TV Directing. During his studies, he directed several short fiction and documentary films, as well as a number of music videos and commercials. His most notable work from this period is the graduation short film Someone Else, which was selected for more than twenty film festivals, including the Fribourg International Film Festival, Arte Mare, Filmski Front, Linea d’Ombra Film Festival, among others. The film won the Best Student Film award at the Arte Mare Festival, Best Short Film at the Brač Film Festival, and Best Regional Indie Film at MikroFAF. His first short film outside of his academic work, Mar, had its world premiere in February 2022 and has since been selected for more than twenty film festivals, both regional and international. His most recent film, The Stranger, premiered at the Motovun: Cinehill Festival in July 2024. Since then, it has been screened at around thirty festivals and has received numerous awards. He is currently completing his graduate studies at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb.
