Student of photography, Barbara is awaiting her first solo exhibition - invisible problems become more and more visible and her fear-induced reactions result in change.
Sara Horvatić was born in 1998 in Varaždin, Croatia. She spent her childhood and completed primary school in her hometown of Ljubešćica. After graduating from the Second Gymnasium Varaždin, she enrolled in the undergraduate program in Film, Television, and Multimedia Design at VERN' University in Zagreb, where she completed production work on the short fiction film Alone in the Water in 2020.
Alongside her academic activities, she gained experience working on various student films and freelanced on Croatian feature and short films, commercials, and music videos in various production and directing roles.
After completing her undergraduate studies, she enrolled in the graduate program in Film and TV Directing and Production at the same university. In September 2023, she earned her master’s degree in production and directing with her short fiction film "Keep it quiet".
She is currently working as a producer at the Zagreb-based production company MOGLO.
Her graduate film "Keep it quiet" was selected for more than 30 film festivals and received multiple awards, including Best International Short Film at the Women Creators Festival in Izmir (2024), Best Student Film at the French Riviera Film Festival in Cannes (2024), Best Student Fiction Film at the Croatian International Film Festival in Šibenik (2024), and Best Short Film at the London Women Film Festival (2025).
