Boris T. Matić holds a Master's degree in Media Arts and Practices. He is the founder and director of the production company Propeler Film, through which he has produced numerous films that have won over 200 awards nationally and internationally. He is the founder of the Motovun Film Festival and its first director, as well as the founder and director of the Zagreb Film Festival. Through the Zagreb Film Festival, together with other board members, he managed the Europa Cinema in Zagreb for 11 years, for which they received the Europa Cinemas Award in 2016 for the best film program in independent European cinemas. He has won three Golden Arena awards at the Pula Film Festival. He has also received the Grand Prix at the Days of Croatian Film and the Oktavijan Award for the best minority co-production. Četvrtak (Thursday) is his second short film as a director.
