Synopsis
Can the thread of bad luck, violence and suffering that is braided deeply into generations of one family be broken? Beba’s mother is a woman of poor health and weak character. Beba’s father is sullen and violent. Beba’s brother is possessive and problematic. Beba’s boyfriend has spent time in a correctional facility. Does Beba’s daughter have any chance of breaking this vicious circle, has she any chance of becoming a loving, cheerful person? Based on a true story.

Lukas Nola
Lukas Nola (1964) studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, and film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. His short films and films for television include: Nobody’s Watching (1992), Each Time We Part Away (1994), The Theft (2004) and Don’t Ask How (2006). He has also directed five feature-length films: Russian Meat (1997), Celestial Body (2001), Alone (2001), True Miracle (2007) and Hush... (2013).
