Young and old, alone or in company, with kids and pets. They all gathered on a hill above Zagreb to watch the demolition of a brick factory chimney. Some came just to watch and enjoy, some to record and others can’t wait to go somewhere else. The film “Before and After” highlights the elements of the event in the footage as well as the time periods in order to get a complete picture of the event.

Tomislav Šoban

Tomislav Šoban (1981) graduated from the Department of Graphics at Zagreb’s Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. Since 2008 he has been an active member of Kinoklub Zagreb. In 2011 he enrolled in the Academy of Dramatic Art, Department of Film and TV Directing. He is currently student at second year of graduate study. Before the film “Father” Tomislav directed several shorts (Not a raise (2017), How Iva Left on September 16, 2016 (2016), Semifinals (2014) and short experimental videos (The End / Land (2015), The Tiniest (2013)) which are shown at all kind of Film Festivals.
