Born 1971 in Zagreb. Graduated in Philosophy and Greek Language at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. He obtained his M.A. at the Ohio University, School of Film, USA under mentorship of Rajko Grlić. He is the Chairperson of Croatian Film Directors' Guild.
He directed many documentary and short films. His first feature was awarded film Seventy Two Days (2010). It won Golden Gate (audience award for best film), Golden Arenas for Best Male Actor, Best Male Supporting Actor and Best Mask, and Young Film-lovers' Award for Best Film. The film was the Croatian candidate for Oscar for Best Film in Foreign Language.
His feature film Liberation of Skopje was the Macedonian candidate for Oscar for Best Film in Foreign Language.
He directed feature film Tereza37, Croatian candidate for Oscar for Best Film in Foreign Language 2022.
