Biography
Born in 1998 in Croatia, Mihaela has attended The School of Applied Arts and Design in Osijek and graduated as a graphic designer. In 2017 she enrolls The Academy of Arts and Culture Osijek – currently is in a 2nd year of Master studies of Visual Arts/ Printmaking. She attended a semestral student exchange in Budapest, Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and currently is on a student exchange at Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design, Germany. She exhibited at numerous group exhibitions in The Museum of Fine Arts Osijek, Gallery Walldinger, Galery Knifer, as well as being a part of projects and exhibitions Drava Art Biennale, International exhibition of prints and artist’s books in Rijeka – GraficaRi, International student Biennal in Croatia 2021, MOKONSHU (365days later project) in Kyev, Porto, Nanchang and Zagreb, Split movie Festival, Da! Festival, Women in “Dom Kulture Nova Gradiška”, Sprudel FilmFest. Her work was published in magazines: Zine Without a Crown Vol XI., Memorial of Ivo Kerdić triennial of Croatian medal making and small sculpture, Magazin wheyw (ALU Sarajevo) and Croatian Audiovisual center magazine 2022 (HAVC). She attended various international sculptural and light installation workshops in Serbia and Croatia. In her artistic and visual expression, she experiments with various medias and often mixes them. Most used are printmaking, poetry, video, and installation.
