Biography

Karlo Gagulić is a Croatian film and television director, producer, and editor. He graduated from VERN’ University with a Master of Arts degree in Film, Television, and Multimedia Directing and Production.

He has been actively involved in film and audiovisual production since 2018. His filmography includes the documentary In the World of Angels (2019) and the short fiction films Message in a Bottle (2020), The School That (Doesn’t) Exist (2021), Adio (2022), Let Them Talk (2023), The Exam (2024), Andrija the Great (2025), and Little Happy Pills (2026).

His films have been screened at numerous national and international festivals and have received multiple awards, including a Grand Prix and several Audience Awards.

Gagulić is the founder and festival director of the Playbox Shorts Film Festival, an international festival dedicated to emerging filmmakers. Professionally, he also works as an editor for Nova TV. Through his directing and producing work, he is committed to developing new film projects, supporting young filmmakers, and creating socially relevant stories.
