Goran Lovrenščak (Krapina, 1989) is a film and television director, producer, and screenwriter with a degree from VERN’ University in Zagreb. His distinctive and specific cinematic style is characterized by a dystopian, comic-book aesthetic, clearly visible in his short fiction films Shadows of Crime (2024) and In the Shadow of Christmas (2026), as well as his playful subversion of black comedy and thriller genres.

His films have been screened at numerous domestic and international festivals and have won several awards, including the Grand Prix and audience choice awards.

He has worked as an assistant director on a series of short fiction films, and made his first professional steps in the industry working within directing, production, and camera departments on television series, sports broadcasts, and commercials.
